Time to focus!

Summer is officially here!  As excited as I am, our schedule seems to fill up so fast.  I love love this time with my kids.  Everyone thinks I'm crazy, and that we are so busy.. but honestly my kids are only young once and if I can get them in activities and teach them new things while we are having the time of our lives I don't think that's being to busy I think that's being the best mom I can be!  Yes we give up some things as adults to make our kids activities a priority but we seem to be OK with that.  My kids are learning to golf and so am I, this has become an amazing little family function for us to do together!  And as for gymnastics, I wish people would understand that our little Miss Averee is not in to other sports, so if this is what her passion is we plan to support her in every way we can!  And we seem to be learning Ryder's "thing" is golf.  It's what he loves to do and other then parkour is the only thing he has on his mind.  How lucky are we our kids are learning such a great sport that they can do for the rest of their lives?!

As for me I'm enjoying this week off before summer classes start.  I have this passion and obsession to start an Etsy store, and load it with all my favorite pallet crafts.  I have so many filling up my house why not share them?  Not only do I have this thought in my head but I have a great husband who is willing to help me get everything going.  I know I put to much on my plate most of the time but, it's who I am...  This is what I do!  I'm in school going for something I love but I know I need that escape from all this seriousness sometimes.  I'm not only going to school for Psychology, but I'm going for Wellness Coaching as well, and if I can't figure out how to make my body and mind happy and healthy all wrapped up in one, how am I supposed to help others do the same?  This is so deep to my heart.  I want to help people so much.  But I struggle daily with stress, over thinking everything, focusing on everyone else and not me, weight, body image, finding the time to workout, watching what goes in my mouth (this is really hard for me), and just trying to keep up with normal mom and wife duties.  This summer is not only about my kids having an amazing summer but it's going to be my summer to learn about me!  I have been very particular about scheduling so I can add in special time for working out and working on my crafts.  This is going to all work out in the best way it can and by the end of summer I hope you can see it in my writing how much I've grown.

Not only am I going to take up running again (races are already planned!) but Averee has the drive to be a runner and Ryder loves to ride his bike, so why not add them all in to one!?  I figure when Averee is at gymnastics, Ryder and I will go run the canyon well I will run he will ride, and then on mornings when we don't have to rush out we can all three go together.  Now I can't leave the dogs or the husband out so I think evenings will be a great time for walks on our country roads.  Add golfing in there I think we should have a very active fun summer.  :)

How do you plan to keep your kids active?

summer is coming!

As I finish up with finals week, and the kids are on the count down with only 3 days left of school, my mind is raising with all the things I want to do with them this summer and all the things I need to get to keep them busy all summer!  Summer is one of my favorite times of the year, I'm sure I only say that because I have A/C in the house and we have a great pool to go spend these hot afternoons at.

So now it's time to start thinking about schedules, chores, golf, gymnastics, parkour, school (yes I'm taking summer classes and I make my kids do a little summer school to keep their little brains growing), and all the fun things I want to do.  What's on your summer bucket list?
We are trying to fit in as much camping as possible, trips to the lakes, kayaking, learning to paddle board, super fun science projects, and all kinds of adventures with the kids.

We live in Oregon, so here are a few things we have planned:

- Wildlife Safari
- Zoo
- Beach trip
- John Day Fossil Beds
- Thunder Egg Hunt
- Enchanted Forest

and these are just a few of the fun things we want to do!  On top of hiking ALL the time!!

Happy Summer my Friends!
